AnongKlase is an app for teachers that works without an internet connection. The class records you create stay on your phone, and they never leave it unless you choose to share them. The app only goes online for two things — to show ads and to handle the optional Pro purchase — both explained below.
The classes, student names, scores, and attendance you enter are saved only on your device. We never see this information, and it is never uploaded to us or to any website. You don't need to create an account or log in to use the app.
If you use the Pro sync feature, AnongKlase can copy your records between your own phone and computer. This happens directly between your two devices over your local WiFi — the records are never sent to us or to any server or cloud. To connect the two devices you scan a one-time code shown on the other; that code works only while both devices are paired on the same network. Nothing about sync leaves your local network.
If you use the free version of AnongKlase, the app may show ads. Upgrading to Pro removes them. Ads are provided by a trusted advertising partner, which may collect some basic information from your device — for example, an advertising ID used to show more relevant ads — under its own privacy policy, not ours. You can reset or turn off ad personalization any time in your phone's privacy settings.
The Android app is now public on Google Play, so pre-registration is closed and we no longer collect tester addresses. While the closed beta ran, we collected only the Gmail address testers gave us — through a Google Form, stored in Google Sheets — for one purpose: adding that account to the Google Play tester list. We never sold or shared the list and we don't send marketing. If you pre-registered and want your address deleted, email us and we'll remove it.
AnongKlase Pro is an optional subscription — monthly, 6-month, or yearly — bought through the App Store (on iPhone and iPad) or Google Play (on Android). The store handles the payment and any renewal — we only receive confirmation that you've unlocked Pro. We never see or store your card or payment details, and you can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
When you choose to export, print, or back up your records, the app creates a file and hands it to whatever app you pick — like your email, a file manager, or a printer. What happens to that file afterward is up to those apps, not AnongKlase. A backup file contains your class records, so keep it somewhere safe.
If you use the answer-sheet scanning feature, AnongKlase uses your camera only to take a photo of an answer sheet (you can also pick a photo from your gallery instead). The photo is read on your phone to record the scores and is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Apart from the camera (above), what's needed to save or share files, and connecting for ads and purchases, the app does not access your location or contacts.
AnongKlase is made for teachers. The student names and grades it stores are entered by the teacher and stay on the teacher's phone. The app is not meant for children to use, and this information is never sent to us.
